Carecord Gingval Retraction Paste is for temporary displacement of marginal gingival in any situations, for which a sulcus must be dry and clean. The acidic paste contains aluminium chloride and aluminium sulphate to apply directly from capsule into sulcus. The haemostatic-effects of the paste instantly close any small blood vessel, which is open unintentionally.
To dispense the material, dispensing gun can be used.
One Retraction capsule is meant to use on one patient only.
USE: This paste is used for temporary displacement of marginal gingival for which a sulcus must be dry and clean. It is used fortaking impressions.
Applying temporary or permanent restoration.
Preparing filling (Class II or V).
The paste should not be used in patients suffering from a diseased period ontium, open furcation, or exposed bone.
PRECAUTIONS:
The user must wear safety glasses during the use of this paste.
Avoid contact with eyes, if contact occurs wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
MSDS is provided along with the material.
APPLICATION:
Remove a Carecord retraction capsule from blister (just before use only), put it in a suitable dispenser, and make sure it is perfectly fitted.
Remove the seal cap from capsule tip just before use and discard it.
Dispense the paste, which is on a mixing pad, and discard it.
Thoroughly rinse sulcus with water and dry lightly with air before application of paste.
Introduce the capsule tip into the sulcus, opening the sulcus.
Move the capsule tip in a sulcus slowly and evenly fill the paste around the tooth by pressing out the adequate amount of paste from the capsule.
Use flat end instrument and gently press the paste into sulcus parting gum and getting maximum exposure of prepared material.
Allow the Carecord retraction paste to react with at least three minutes, keep all the moisture away during this time.
Using the mixture of air and water, remove the Carecord retraction paste completely from sulcus after the residence period.
Patient must not swallow the paste.
STORAGE:
Store at 15°C-25°C.
Do not use after expiry date.
DISPOSAL: Dispense of the empty Carecord capsule in normal waste of medical practice.
